PRAISE JESUS After 20 YEARS OF STRUGGLE, Mother Teresa Church Cikarang Finally Inaugurated
The Mother Teresa Church in Lippo Cikarang, South Cikarang, Bekasi Regency, was inaugurated on Wednesday (August 27, 2025). The inauguration was attended by the Regent of Bekasi, Ade Kuswara Kunang; the Head of the West Java Provincial National Unity and Politics Agency, Wahyu Wijaya; the Head of the Sub-Directorate for National Life at the National Police Headquarters, Senior Commissioner Ajie Indra Dwi Atma; the Bekasi Metro Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Mustofa; the former Acting Regent of Bekasi, Dani Ramdan; and the Interfaith Harmony Forum (FKUB).
The inauguration of the Mother Teresa Church was a long-awaited event for the Cikarang Parish after 20 years of struggle to build a house of worship, full of twists and turns.
“We have indeed struggled for 20 years to obtain this permit. Of course, we have gone through many things, and finally, our struggle has paid off,” said the Head of the Cikarang Parish, Father Antonius Suhardi Antara, to reporters on Wednesday, August 27, 2025.
Father Antonius explained that Mother Teresa Church can accommodate around 1,800 worshippers for each service.
