Forgiveness<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Let’s go back to the year of 1981, when the late Pope John Paul II was getting a murder’s attempt.<\/span><\/p>\n

Not only he visited the killer, but he also asked for his forgiveness.<\/span><\/p>\n

By his request, Mehmet Ali Agca – The Assassin- later on was being deported to Turkey in June 2000.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It seems so hard to accept logically.<\/span><\/p>\n

How could we forgive those who act so badly towards us?<\/span><\/p>\n

But, he has given us a wonderful example that love isn’t only sweet word that comes out from our mouth…<\/span><\/p>\n

Moreover, he really put love into action in his life…<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As Jesus has shown His love by washing His disciples’ feet, so let’s try our best to live in forgiveness especially to those who trespass against us.<\/span><\/p>\n

We’re only human and it’s really possible to do mistakes…<\/span><\/p>\n

Let’s learn to forgive in every step of our life.<\/span><\/p>\n

Even though it’s not easy, but, together with Jesus, hopefully we’re able to do that.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another\u2019s feet. 15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Pengampunan<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Mari kembali ke tahun 1981, saat Paus saat itu yaitu Paus Yohanes Paulus II mengalami percobaan pembunuhan.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Bukan hanya beliau kemudian mengunjungi pembunuhnya, beliau pun memohonkan pengampunan baginya.<\/span><\/p>\n

Atas permintaan Paus Yohanes Paulus II, Mehmet Ali Agca- Sang Pembunuh, bisa dideportasi ke Turki di bulan Juni tahun 2000.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Agaknya sulit diterima akal dan pikiran.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bagaimana mungkin mengampuni, apalagi mereka yang ingin bertindak jahat kepadamu?<\/span><\/p>\n

Namun, Paus Yohanes Paulus II memberikan teladan pada kita bagaimana kasih bukan hanya sekadar ucapan di bibir belaka.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beliau sungguh mempraktikkan kasih dalam kehidupannya.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Sebagaimana Yesus sendiri sudah memberi contoh membasuh kaki murid-murid-Nya, hendaknya kita berusaha sekuat tenaga untuk hidup dalam pengampunan bagi mereka yang bersalah kepada kita.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kita pun manusia biasa dan mungkin berbuat dosa.<\/span><\/p>\n

Belajar mengampuni dalam setiap waktu di hidup kita.<\/span><\/p>\n

Meski sulit, namun bersama Yesus semoga kita dimampukan untuk melakukannya.<\/span><\/p>\n
