Cardinal Ignatius Suharyo’s Appeal to the People of the Archdiocese of Jakarta<\/p>\n
Considering the deeply concerning conditions of the nation in recent days, we are invited to understand them as signs of the times.<\/p>\n
In this situation, I urge:
\n1. The people, especially the Catholic community of the Archdiocese of Jakarta, to maintain clarity and steadfastness.
\n2. Strengthen social solidarity for the common good.
\n3. As citizens in various roles, we are called to shoulder the historical responsibility formulated in the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution.<\/p>\n
Let us safeguard Jakarta, safeguard each other, safeguard Indonesia.
\nMay Almighty God, who has led our nation to independence, safeguard, and bless our nation.<\/p>\n
