Perayaan wajib untuk St. Ambrosius dirayakan setiap 7 Desember. Santo Ambrosius lahir pada tahun 340 AD di Trier, Jerman, dari keluarga Kristen yang terpandang. Meski awalnya seorang pejabat sipil, Ambrosius terpilih menjadi uskup Milan secara mendadak pada tahun 374 AD.
\nPeringatan ini mengingatkan kita akan panggilan untuk hidup dalam terang iman, sebagaimana Santo Ambrosius hidup dan berkarya. Ia tidak pernah goyah dalam menghadapi tantangan iman, dan keberaniannya menjadi inspirasi bagi kita untuk tetap teguh berpegang pada Kristus, Sang Gembala Agung.
