That is the spirit fought for by the Franciscan Sisters of St. Georgius Martyr (FSGM), Thuine. This spirit is the testament of the founder of the FSGM Congregation, Mdr. Anselma Bopp. Before entering the monastery, Mdr. Little Anselma was named Pauline Bopp. On July 19, 1855 he made his first profession in the Congregation of the Holy Cross with the name Sr. Anselma . One day she was summoned by the Superior General, Madame de Glaubitz, to open a new convent with an older sister. The reason is, two sisters from Strassburg went around looking for donors in the Emsland area, Northern Germany. There they met P. Gerhard Dall (80). After hearing about the various charitable works and how poor the young congregation was, P. Gerhard Dall thought that such sisters could help the poor people of Thuine village who were suffering from disease outbreaks. How does the story continue?
